Default awful lot of cars being broken aint there!!!

just noticed that there seems to be a hell of a lot of perfectly decent cars getting broke , i u8ndersetand if the chassis/body is fooked but do you think it is becoming the norm to break your car rather than sell it seeingas how you make a lot more money breaking it , dont suppose it matters in the long run as the shells are reborn anyway, i think its becoming a trend, as the first thing everyone shouts to people selling the car is break it if it dont ssell in the first week or two!

good or bad or indifferent ????

I have noticed this aswell.

Its very sad but the truth is the sum of the parts are usually worth more than the cars total value.

This could explain the high rate of thefts recently

Selling my Escos soon so may go the same way if I cant get a good price.

I realise that people are getting more then the cars asking price
when they sell parts separate..
but as a 'cossie fan' its a right shame...

gus, your car was eventually priced right and im very suprised no-one bought it, the wrong time of year i think.

but still, when the car gets built back up , not gonna be the same car is it

ive just seen some real shoddy workmanship on cars when getting built back up, i hope that in 10 years time if i want to buy another RS there are going to be some left as they came out of the factory[not stripped and rebuilt]

in mine and other peoples opinion my car was worth more than i was asking for it. the problem is people will not pay 10k+ for a saf. but then they will pay 5k and another 15k on it when they could just buy one done to start with. The saffire wont be mine something im glad about tbh as ill not be seeing my car as it was driving round

Take Seans car for example.

how much has he spent on that car!

Really got no chance selling it as a car as it would be worth 10's of £££'s.

People that strip them don't really want to but they have to to get money back.

We all spent too much money on our cars, thats the problem.

well tbh a mate of mine is breaking hes car, he never had a choice though, he ran out of money and wants a car he car drive not fook about with and spend his wages, he recons he will get almost 7k from breaking it, hes car was worth 5to 6k complete and he would have to spend a grand to sort a tiny tiny problem with it too

ill prob sell mine complete though as when i sell mine then no other cossies will be around and they cant say they have seen a better one
