I thought most Dervs smoke when they hit boost... especially in the summer they seem to anyway??

except the very latest generation, where they seem so clean the exhaust pipes stay squeeky clean!

Mate of mine had his focus tdci remapped and the bloke who did it says if it is smoking excessively then it hasn't been done right and is too rich.

You will get a bit more smoke on hard acceleration but if it is noticeable when on boost with day to day driving then something isn't right.

either the map is cack or if it has an egr valve fitted (cant think what the 100bhp engine looks like) the same as on the 130 brake etc tell him to take this off and clean it or get an egr bypass valve...has it done it permanantly since or is it easing off...could just be coked up and as he hammers it more with his remap its just expelling shit out of the exhaust system etc...make sure all the boost pipes are on properly to...anything less than the pd150 engine and the clips holding the pipes on are wank!

i had my 130 spec bora tdi done and on hard boost it does smoke a little, is definitely over fuelling, but more than likely done to keep engine temps down.
don't bother me as i'm leaving the trail not driving through it.
no real smoke round town though.
