If you are thinking of 4x4 (or should that be 3x3?) or v8 it's going to be simpler to make a complete new chassis.

Rear mounted? That would be a giggle trying to steer at full throttle but would be bloody fast. Guy I used to work withs dad had a caterham style kit car with a r1 engine an holy shit the acceleration was unreal

Have had a look at that page. Very few pages on the interne about the 3 wheelers

Thinking of putting the engine in the front for weight , although have seen a few done but they've lost the pasenger space.

I'd prefer a sleeper look , may just buy one and have a look over it.

The first one is my mates dads, bigjim on here has around 40 reliants should you need one, I think Trevor Langfeild(wizards of noz) had a front pinto engined one years ago, that wheelied well!!
I've seen accident damaged ones at my mates(he's a reliant dealer/parts supplier), don't look at a crashed is my advice if wanting one it's not exactly reassuring!!

it has no chassis in that vid so that means its just a fibreglass shell
no wonder it did not stand upto a fiesta crashing into it

Garbish, pure fact fibreglass as used on these reliants was nothing remotely as strong as the metal used on the other cars of the same period.
I've seen a few crashed reliants, 3 and 4 wheel ones, even the "del boy" type which were NOT ROBINS, btw, they were REGAL, MK2 I think the mark was.
I know which I'd prefer to be in.
