help needed: setting solid tappets on a cvh

hey people just after a bit of help, iv almost complited building a cvh for a mate but just stuck on the tappets , what order should i do them in ? eg number one is tdc then i should do ... number? and also what should the clearance be? its a kent fast road cam cant remeber the number .

Rule of 9, when say 8 is at full lift, check number 1, iirc
No idea on what clearance you'll need though, have you checked the Kent website?
The cam should have an id mark on it somewhere, either at one end or around the middle?
Did your mate not know what cam he had, did you not check before the build? how do you know it will not foul the pistons etc etc

You can also do them "on the rock" when no 1 is at tdc with inlet valve just opening and the exhaust jut closing on the overlap then adjust no 4 , and visa versa , and when no 2 on the rock do no 3 and visa versa .

then you will see on the cvh cams there is slightly different clearances required 0.15/0.20 mm for CVH26 and 0.56/0.61 for CVH27/28
