Default cvh 35 kent

hi guys
i have a cvh 35 in my stage 4 head for my 2.1 zetec turbo, does any1 know the timing settings for the verneer pully wheel, its already set at 11 dgrees retard;

Hi Bud,

Where did you get that reading (11deg retard) ?? (The numbers on the vernier pully mean bugger all at this point)

You need to get a timing disc on the bottom pulley, Set this up to tdc and then get a DTI gauge set onto number 1 inlet valve. Take your readings from there.

The lift at TDC for the CVH35 is 0.73mm as I had the same cam in my old ZVH.

thanks bud could u explain the above in english mate, am a bit illiterate wen it comes to cars , haha not had much experience with them as far as engines n cams, the lift should b on what valve mate

that is too much retard for the cam, set it to -5 retard untill you get it setup

You will need a timing disc and at least 1 DTI gauge to be able to set the cam up to the correct timing , have a look on you tube if you want to learn a bit more
