i need help to know how to test an ecu on a ford fiesta 2008 1.6dci plz.
as the car does not turn over off the key,and the radiator fan stays on and it keeps drainin the battery.thanks

 

cooling fan relay problem mate.its in the square junction box behind trhe battery.quite common on the 1600 tbh

 

If it's not turning over then it's more likely to be an immobiliser issue or an electrical problem, the fans are controlled by the ECU but not sure if they would run when the engine is switched off? As said make sure you don't have a "sticky" relay.

hi im pretty new on here, ive recently had the same problem wiv my mk 6 fiesta tdci, i fiddled with the brown relay in the black box next to the batterery and the problem went away but i have bort a new relay is it wise to put the new relay in now or would adjusting the old relay cease the problem permanently
