The heater blowers have stopped working and since this if I have the head lights on with the engine running I can turn the ignition off and the car will stay running

Its a 1998 318is 1.9

the heater blowers ahve stopped working in mine too and its the hedgehog thingy behind/under neath the glovebox in the passenger footwell - common fault mate

Heater blowers will probably be the hedgehog
Other faults will probably be the ignition switch going south
