Hi folks, ive got 3dr cossie im restoring an need some help

Gearbox changes gear perfect when driving normal but if i put me toe down i cant change from 2nd to 3rd ive heard and read its common on these boxes?
I live in west mids would like to know best place to take it to have it fixed/overhauled
Any information would be great

I just wasn't impressed with the service and how long the gearbox lasted given the use it had mate tbh...try Bara as above, he's meant to be good on std T5's

Well that is just my experience, lots of people on here do have good ones too

But if it was my money again i'd go for Bara

How much is a rebuilt box from Bara against Gearboxman?

I had my T5 rebuilt using a big tooth gear set back in 06. From memory I think it cost about £900. Chris

Can't remember but it was quite expensive

what torque are you running? if fairly low, just go for a std rebuild as you need new synchros. can be done at home although getting 5th gear off is a saga.

Was just gonna say 3rd gear synchro is fucked. It's common.

5th doesn't need to come off, just angle grind the bearing off, that's how my box was done.
