First ford was a mk2 4 door 1.3 pop plus escort lta 591w spent 18 months retiring it and turning it into a Mexico rep drove it for six months then got shunted up the arse, spent around £2000 on her, sold it on on eBay and think it's still going now but with a efi pinto in it.
Wouldn't fancy driving it now though knowing how hard a shunt it had.

Was fair on n/s rear corner pushed chassis down as I remember kinked roof pulled o/s door shuts out cracked front screen knocked something out in the box so you couldn't get 1st pushed crank thru engine so it started leaking on the front crank seal, no knocking at the time thou.

It was all original other than one front wing can't remember wich one and I think it was the drivers side rear door was replaced just after I got it on the road as my grandad reversed into it.
Somewhere I should still have the photo album for it I'll see if I can dig it out at some point.

Aged 19, I bought my first Ford, a 1989 Flint grey 2wd Sapphire Cosworth. 270Bhp, drove it everywhere sideways, went through 3 sets of rear tyres in 5 months!! Insurance was £1600 tpft, loved it! Had a Cosworth without break for over 11 years now. Don't think I will ever be without one, I know they are old, unreliable blah blah blah, but just have somthing about them that makes you grin every time it comes on boost!
