Default Fuel pump symptoms? or something less Synister

I Posted this Yesterday but no joy yet,my car (tdci Mondeo ghia x)
is after having injectors reconditioned and recoded, fuel tank drained and new filter put on,my mechanic eventually got it started(it was airlocked) and all seemed good plenty power no problems starting and drove home perfectly,it started first tip in the morning, drove about 15/20 miles and died in the middle of the road.
No way would it start so i towed it home,it started first tip when i got home and then died five miles down the road again,so its basically running perfect for a while then stalling and not starting for around 10 minutes, then perfect again
Does this sound like the fuel pump?
I drove it back to the mechanic this evening and on a straight it hit 100 mph with ease! surely this must be something small (I also changed the cam position sensor) any ideas???

Sounds electrical. Re-check the wiring to sensers etc.

What fault codes come up now? It could be any one of a hundred things, so you need to narrow it down before looking for the solution.

Finger's crossed it's something simple.
