Default how to remove this vr6 rotor arm??

its not a screw on type on my golf vr6, any ideas how it comes off?

If its the same as an Audi it takes force to remove usually it breaks.
Its not a simple pull-off as a Ford.

The cure to stop this is to grease the dizzy shaft prior to fitting, even ford ones can get jammed, but usual problem for them is wiggly rotors, as the slot can be too large for the rotor arms notch, I then just use a bit of cereal box card between the rotor arm and dizzy shaft.

cheers, ive used a lot of force and the bastard still wont come off, may get the hacksaw out

All cars I have ever come across the rotor arm pulls off the shaft and that looks no different, I do as said above though grease the shaft before I fit a new one, have you tried gently wiggling up and down on each side? patience is a virtue
