Does any body on here work for Ford.Just that ford dealer has writen to me saying that they want to charge me £15.60 + vat for a fuel system cleaner treatment service reminder do i need this done or can i do it myself for cheaper.

 

You can do this cheaper yourself.

Just get some redex petrol additive and add the correct quantity to you fuel to clear the fuel system out.
Ford sell a brand called fortron for £9.99. in the dealers part department.

 

Basically the ford dealership wants to charge you £5.60 +vat for opening a bottle of petrol additive and pouring it into your petrol tank lol

 

I gathered that but if I don't go to fords will it affect my warrenty.

 

Check your handbook, i think it says something like, a warranty claim can be refused if evidence of a fuel system additive is found upon inspection.

I would put the letter in the bin and ignore it. Can i ask who the dealer is?
