Just stumbled across this on eBay whilst searching for something completely different.

Weird as I was only looking at the very same car in an old issue of Fast Ford (January 1993) a couple of days ago and thought to myself how I remembered them, but would probably never see one again and recognised the reg plate.

I'm looking at that and thinking that's an MFI XR3i lump in it, yet it's currently got an RS Turbo lump in it. It's sat still for 20 years so that'll need some work doing to it hence the price at the moment.

I thought that too, but it doesnt look like its turbo'd to be honest, just a turbo block/head with standard MFI on it? Also sounds like it comes with 2 engines the way i read it - the original and an american 1940

the way i read it was,

its got a rs turbo standard 1600 lump in it at the moment, but with xr3 tt management

the original 1900cc na lump, is siezed, but had been converted to turbo technics

it also comes with a american tall block, different again as this will have roller rockers ect


as far as im awear none of the rs1900i were tt converted from factory so if i was to buy this id be looking at taking it off.

also it should be on 88 spec cloth, not 90 spec.

The front and rear bumpers look there a different shade of mercury grey to the rest of the car.

hardly surprising painted metal looks different to painted plastic on a photo..........even brand new focus' are like it.

Brand new Focus RS's bumpers are ACTUALLY different shades in real life, most noticeable on the green.
