Default Potholes Potholes Potholes!!

Anyone else finding that they can no longer drive on the road, in a straight line due to the sheer amount of potholes.....

I find i'm looking at the road ahead and having to swerve round loads of bloody holes.

I've accidentally hit a couple of deep ones recently and just cringe as the alloy's bang. luckilly no damage though....

It's seriously is shocking the state of the roads in general after winter and there appears to be nothing being done..

anyone else faced with similar in their areas?

I wince when you hit a pothole you can't avoid and you get that thud. Good thing about the roads you use regularly is you know where they are. But on an A or B road you;ve never been down before doing 30/40/50mph....

Are roads are terrible down south where i am, took the cossie for an mot the other week after 18 months off the road doing an underside and bay resto, first time out then on the way back "bang" hit a pot hole on a crappy known piece of road moving over for a big van, cracked both of my momo arrows and cracked the thread in the top of my front shocker, had the wheels welded but they wont balance very well and doubtful they will pass a future mot so im gonna be claiming against the council for it all, ive taken pics of the pot hole and measured the depth etc, anyone else done this and got any advice?

I hear the pothole has to have been previously reported and not fixed , then you can have grounds for a claim ?

proper dog shit round our way, they'll just patch them all up again and at the first frost crumble again. Makes that road fund license seem so worthwhile!!!

It has been announced that Ł100 million has been allocated to fix these potholes. There are over 2 millions potholes in the UK and that Ł100 million will only fix up to 1.5 million potholes!

A331 is awful, there is a pothole as wide as a car on this road!! Its a 70mph limit two lanes and avoiding it can be tricky. It seems there is a shocking amount of bad road surfaces all over the country reading these posts. I have banged down two nasty ones recently on local B-roads, on one I thought the shock was going to come through the bonnet!!

I hit one yesterday, I haven't been down that road for a while, but luckily i was slowing down for the traffic lights at the end, I didn't even see it (its pretty dark on this road) and the weather wasn't great either making it even harder to see it! Felt and heard that dreaded sound, but all looks ok, bloody things!!!! GRRRR!!!

the alloys on my transit have taken a massive battering, I have bent every wheel more than once since the snow, luckily the tyres have been ok but rims have been bent to fuck, mate keeps heating them up and straightening them, now Im having to be super careful

Heres one from a few weeks back, massive pothole in the middle of the road, hidden by a puddle, all back on the van though, lol

the whole reported pot hole you can claim is rubbish as all they are doing a in cornwall is putting up signs saying tempory road surface and that covers them not that they fix them they just put up a sign and leave it as they found it
theres a road half a mile away thats about 3 miles long and is fucked and all they have done is put up signs and put cone's in the holes now every one is using the other side of the road to miss the cone's and now that is lifting up aswell

I've used it many times, as long as you give them enough details, they usually fix it. Also useful for reporting other things too!
