Well...

Read everyones thoughts on here, and have taken a punt and bought a 530d Sport. Have to say, just on the 80 mile drive home its grown on me massivly, and returned 39.7 mpg being driven at 85ish with the occasional blip over a ton.

Mad thing is 100mph feels like 30mph in most cars , could be a license looser!! Pics tomorrow.

It's under warranty for 6 months, so can't really touch it yet. It's got 142,000 miles on, but it had a brand new BMW supplied & fitted engine at 102,000 miles due to the owner driving through a deep puddle & sucking water up . It was pre-registered by Rydale BMW, then it's been with the one owner since new. It's in fantastic condition throughout, leather is good for it's age, overall I'm very happy. It already has a name, the Limo

Nice one Will. Look forward to the pics. What is a reasonable price to pay for one of these?

Awsome cars i love them! Well i love all BMW's nowadays lol. I was thinking about getting one, but decided just looked abit old man for me atm, plus i really want a convert. So stuck with another 3 series.

Awesome cars though and eat the moterway miles so easy.

Few pics of the new shed

Sorry they are crap, iPhone pics... But you get the idea! Done just under 1000 miles now, have to say they are a great motorway muncher, does 40Mpg cruising at 100Mph constantly, bit worse around town, mid 30's.... I will have the air flow meter out and clean it as apparently they get dirty and make it overfuel, apart from that it's just drive and enjoy.

Still think it's a big old bus, but not too bad really considering it's size, thank fuck it's got parking sensors is all i'm saying ..

sorry to gatecrash someone elses thread but, anyone had experience or the E60 530d auto?

been offered a mint one in silver/grey fsh, 75k miles iirc, just had new bmw engine due to swirl flaps - done under warranty at bmw dealer on a 53 plate. unsure on exact spec as i wasn't really interested this morning when i was being told about it. But i've since had a look on trader/ebay and the 7.5k matey wants for it seems a bargin.

Any views?

(am currently driving a e34 & range rover so am used to the size of big cars and i do like it)
