Asked this a few times myself for my Audi and the general consensus is they are very good for the money. Was looking at getting some but another option has been brought to my attention which may give me 360mm brakes for about Ł500

They were perfect but as i've said to you already the pads were the only let down. The standard ones Ksport supply are like hot butter, change them for DS3000's or PF ones and you will be fine.

p.s. that bloke on the link in post 51 is a bit of a chancer, wouldnt beleive a word he says

i had the 330 mm 6 pot brakes on the front of my e8 , found them spot on never had a problem
did lots of track days never got any fade i was running 400 bhp
the only issue i had is that the disc's started to get small cracks in them , but it never affected the performance of them

Micro cracking of discs can be seen under hard use, but isn't a issue, unless a crack appears, I've had cracks(on discs!!) open to 2mm before now, chunked the pad to shit coming to a stop.
I've driven cars with K sport, they seem well made and do the job, I'd be happy to use them on mine, just happened to get a set of tarox B32-6 6 pots as were going at a good price at the time I was after some(when I had the money), but would have bought K sport if it was them.
I've found the Ebc yellowstuff vastly better than the DS pads, but each to their own.

have these on my evo.great kit but not impressed with the bolting bells to disc arrangement
you do get instructions how to line them up but really there should be no movement .the hole size is approx 6.4mm and all you get is 10mm bolts fully threaded on 6.0mm shafts.not ideal

I bought some 362mm bells and brackets the other day, they were for a AP kit but no calipers i then found a pair of 8 pot D2,s for $450 they are the same bolt pattern as the AP six pots, all i need now is the disc rotors all up a bargain price. Also I dont think i will ever out drive them.

What makes someone a fuk wit for having an opinion about a set of brakes lol far enough u have chosen k sport and i dare say they are very good brakes but just because someone says why not get aps (which are also very good brakes and rated by a lot of people who no a lot more than u do and used in race) dosent make them a fashion victim or a fuk wit seems to me u are the fuk wit who is short tempered and it is an open thred for people to comment on and give there opinion at the end of the day be it weather u like what they say or not!

I think the original poster's point was that most people buy a set of APs and either can't drive for shit or don't even take their car near a track.

Much like the fact that I might buy a Ł600 suit for work, the one made by the Taiwanese shop round the corner will do just as good a job of wearing well, looking good, and fitting correctly, most likely because its made in the same place!

If people think you "need" APs for the road, then I dare say standard brakes would suit them fine.

Also, I seem

mine has never been on a track but with 500bhp i can get to speed a lot more than average joe in his ford escort and i maybe in the wrong coming up behind him at 130 when he pulls out at 55 but im shore glade i do have aps on! and by the way before i had cheaper brakes a comp brake set up and they would fade out like theres no tomorrow the aps never have

James brake fad is not the caliper fault but caused by the pad compound, have seen cars on trake with cheaper brake kits last longer ,when the ap cars have come off due to brake fade,

I've got 6 pot AP Racing 362mm brakes on my car currently. I think I'm classed in the category of someone who hammers the fook out of their car a lot on track, so they do get used a fair bit

I've just bought K Sport 356mm 8 pot front brakes and 356mm 6 pot rear brakes for my car.

Hopefully that tells you something

They've got a very good reputation, despite the more sensible pricing, and I'm confident I'll be just as happy with the K Sports as with the APs.

As has been said by those who have used them (I'd maybe ignore some of the brand snobs who haven't actually used them ), ditch the standard pads ASAP, as they are junk.

Get at least DS3000s, although my personal recommendation is to buy Carbotech XP8s for road use, or XP10s for track use on an Evo / Sierra weight car. I've spent probably over Ł2500 on brake pads in the last 3 years of Evo ownership and extensive track use. Not found a better pad for road or track use. Work ace from cold, never fade.

Currently EBC Bluestuff, in the NDX compound only, seem to be getting ok reviews from road users and are very well priced.

I'm testing them this weekend at Brand Hatch against my known and proven XP10s, so will be able to comment more on their track suitability after the weekend A Full set of XP10s for my Evo are c. Ł400, Bluestuff NDX Ł250. Hoping they work just as well for less money, but I'm prepared to keep paying the higher price for XP10s for the super performance they offer.

Hope this helps a bit

Si

lol or poor materials that absorb heat more and cannot dissipate it also they only use hawk pads (talking about my old compbrake set up) so there isent much of a choice and as said my aps take some stick and have never faded when i had my car mapped on the road the comp brake ones dident work anymore after about 30 mins lol thats when i new i had to pay out for better quality brakes! not that im saying k sport arnt as i have never used them just saying dont dismiss aps as just a name as that is rubbish and a stupid thing to say!

Not dissing them,as just a name, would be a great improvment over your comp brakes as most things they make are crap, and so is there customer service, what pads you got in your ap's
