fook me people love a good winge dont they!!!
some customers need to remember that this is tuning, not standard servicing.
it isn't black and white working on one can to the next, especially with cars such as rs turbos that may well have old wiring, different engines, this and that. things from time to time will go wrong while being worked on. No written standard operated procedure is in place for such modified cars. And when it does go wrong the customer needs the balls to say they arent happy, not by a tx msg lol but by a phone call or popping in.
Just wasted a whole pack of marylands reading all this.
Good luck to all involved but although I dont know them personally, best of luck to
Enhanced Performance with the business, learn from the mistakes and come back better.

things go tits up on all tuned cars we know that but silicone injectors in, welding turbos to manifolds and that fucking inlet says it all really, why do it all wrong and ask for trouble, cant get my head round it at all???????

I do know where you are coming from mate but as you say they are becoming classics now and only idiots like me etc are still into the bloody things,
d4 did come across as a tard but john and morph always seemed ok to me and you have got to admit silicone round injectors, welding turbos to manifolds etc is not what anyone deserves and does not look good, yea rsts go pop but they had no chance if they were bodged to start with, just my opinion and is why over theyears have learnt to fix them myself with a few mates and only rely on set ups off tuners( while watching them like a hawk!)

Answer me this: why would any sane mapper "garuntee" an engine they havent built?? provide an inspection - yes, advise on general condition - yes but warranty something they didnt do? dont fucking think so.

And even if they did a warranty they would do something in writing to prevent commercial suicide.....

now i know luke aint the best at running a business hence coming under AFR these days but he doesnt strike me as a complete fucking cluster fuck either!

Jesus!!! That took forever to read. How difficult is it to build a cvh engine that lasts more than a thousand miles. I got ripped off by a similar company when I was a bit younger and a bit more naive. Needless to say my dad got my money back and 6 months later the company folded. I can't stand dickheads who call themselves specialists because they've done a few headgaskets on rs turbos. Well thankfully to the power of the Internet I would make an educated guess that maybe ep/aft/abc or what ever the he'll they are called this week, won't be getting a great deal of work in the future. Serves you right you unprofessional, irresponsible arseholes.

what i dont get is why johns cams kept eating themselves, got to be bad oil pressure or something fucked up in the head, can honestly say ive never had a turbo cam totally lunch itself in 20 years of rst ownership!

He stated he was only running 15 psi so fuck all and should have run reliably really easy, so what went wrong, metering head fucked up thats an easy fix, im proper confused how ep got it so wrong.

I read earlier in the thread that the car came back to them with a cam lobe sheared off, which is common on rs turbos?????............. BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!

they dont normaly shear off but they wear pretty badly due to having crap lubrication to the head on a cvh....

yes but there is a giveaway, the noise! and didnt it do it again after a new cam was fitted, i know it was a kent and they are shit but taking another lobe off, must have been a oil pressure problem or something really fucked up in the head! and wasnt it inspected and all contamination supposed to be removed, obviously not and that must be down to ep or am i missing something??, and Ł500 to do an rst headgasket, dick turpin anyone

D4, Morph and others have all had very bad experiences with EP. There's no smoke without fire IMO!

Regardless of all the bad reports on this thread, reading charlie danny's and luke's posts alone have probably done the most damage!!

I can only go on what i read on here as i have no personal experience, but i've never seen 3 guys involved in a business that don't know who owns it, or what their role in the business is, or whether they are indeed working there or not

no wonder all the EP mapping threads have had a drumming on here from the likes of chip, stu, flux etc, as it appears luke has been 'learning to map' and not mapping.

all i can say is good luck to EP, and their un satisfied customers. sounds like you'll need it

I'm sure I read on here or another forum that if the head is warped,by bolting it down correctly it can put undue stress on the cam lobe on one end as obviously it's tightened down one side more than the other?

As for a 15psi rst,I built one myself with a bleed valve and a chipped ecu!!!

I did 25000 miles on a really old engine with this set up and it never let me down,was still running fine a few years later.

Went ok too!!!

Must have been fundamental engine probs to have caused all this,the Cvh is a tough old boot of an engine.

I wish I could afford another "chavvy" series one!!!
