Well seem's me morph and D4 (i know of more now) have been had by this said company, In all honesty here is my post on event's that happened, Caz karl rob neil a few more will back me up,
Right firstly this is not slander or pulling the said tuner down, It’s just my dealing with enhanced performance (Luke and danny CHARLIE1). 2009-2010.
I had my engine built for my S1 escort at medway rs centre (kent) they did a pretty good job I’ll admit but we had a few issus regarding a wiring job done on my car, So I looked for a tuner who could fix my issues and also set the car up, EP was recommended to me so I rang luke up and had a chat, He agreed to sort my issues out and guarantee the engine as he would give it a full check over and set up, £1280 fixing a little wiring not all of it like I asked and setting the car up (Also fitting a flamer kit) Knocked me £80 off the bill.
So I take my S1 to EP, It’s there longer than he said it would be, But eventually i got it back and started driving it, I noticed a slight stutter on cruise (boost was fine 15PSI), So I took it back luke said the MFI is shit and needs sorting (I was peeved off as should have been fixed before let out on the road) So I had a another MFI metering head and so did luke, So went down and changed it over no JOY same shit (Rough idle and stuttering) So luke said we will EFI for just the cost of the ECU £180 IIRC (As a favour for the troubles so far) So I was happy, He set the S1 just before I went home that day, I broke down 2 times on the M25 due to a rough set up,
I take it back again, Luke sets it up again AGAIN Christ it’s only MFI, He kept it a while while fixing it, So I pick it up again I ask him is it safe to drive as going to see my sister up in leeds in the S1, Luke said it’s fine don’t worry, So off I set on my 230mile journey, 15miles on the return trip BANG no boost just BANG I pull over engine is that hot I burnt my self on the inlet, Engine tapping like a bitch stuttering like anything (Its foooked), I get recovery at the cost of nearly £500 to lukes garage (EP).
So there inspecting the S1 (danny and luke) Luke reckons head gasket which I even knew wasn’t the case, We check the oil (Me and danny) and the oil is silver (Particles) so its fooked strip it down, Which they do to find the cam had been wearing out (Hence the stuttering and rough idle) and the cam lobe wore off shattered the tappet into my STAGE 3 head cam head all snuffed, So luke wouldnt accept any responsibility for the engine breaking, I classed it as shit tuning if he sent it out rough idling stuttering without even finding the problem and he GUARANTEED the S1’s engine after the £1200 bill, So much for that guarantee he straight blamed medway using a fucked cam, Which even I knew marc wouldn’t do that, So I went to marc asked for my old head and cam back which he build up for me (Thanks marc) I had luke fit the new head etc, Luke promised a full drop of it’s guts and clean out of all the gallerys with metal shards (from the tappet only 1/4 was recovered of the tappet the rest was in the engine somewhere, Lukes words!) So all the metal bits in the oil, He changes the head bill’s me near enough £500 for a head change, JUST A HEAD CHANGE! Because he didn’t drain the engine STILL OLD FILTER AND OIL in the engine as i drove away with a new head, So the tappet shards fooooked the engine AGAIN!, As I drove it away well happy no stutter etc I was chuffed, Nearly home and the stuttering starts again .
I phone him up, Very pissed off as I checked the oil when I got back and there was NO OIL in the engine at all :S. Checked in the morning was all there (SILVER particles still in the oil) So took it back and was given 2 excuses, Dannys report big ends shell’s etc, Lukes it’s the cam again,
So from here luke offers a full apology and tell’s me EP will re-build your engine top to bottom to make sure it is all sorted on the next build of the same engine, (FREE OF CHARGE) for the build he even offers EFI to me which I accept, So months go by, Eventually it’s ready, I nicely get informed it’s costing me £1000+ for the build, I went mental at him and threatened him with posting all my info on passion ford, He soon back down and reduced the bill still made no difference I didn’t have £600 as I spent up and in all honesty I wasn’t paying for a garages mistake, He see’s sense and let’s me take the car as mum was selling her cosworth, Well the engine is built up running EFI but WAIT what’s this all over my S1 (BLACK OVER SPRAY chips and dent in my wing) :@ Very fuming!!!
So I drive to pauls (north yorks and even ask paul how the engine sounded ENGINE not gear box, Sounded unhealthy to say the least)
On the way back I notice it’s getting tappy I was ok new build so I will top the oil up, Yeah BECAUSE there wasn’t any oil in it!!! Later on found out he had not put my return oil pipe on my breather system so oil was been pissed out over my gearbox, Again I get home, I look over the car in the day light and WELL FUMING WAS NOT WORD!!!
List of damaged parts, Body dents scratches, Floor pan was jacked up on which gave me a hole in the floor, Black over spray all over my MINT S1 (Anyone who saw my S1 will agree it was very VERY CLEAN) Needless to say I phoned back up RANTING RAVING etc, EP wanted the car back to fix I was dead set against it, So he payed me for a re-build of the same engine £1000 (about) I sold the S1 off in bits and shell with all bits for 2K, So lesson learnt 4K buying the car, 5K at medway, A further £2500 (Around) I walked out with enough money to reclaim my 4K buying budget,
In my EXPERIENCE they are bodgers and luke uses his gift of the gab!! ASK any decent tuner and re-search ABC motorsport before you touch these guys! Oh yeah and the owner of EP is CHARLIE1 on here, If he is indeed the owner still. Everyone needs a muppet with cash right?.

I thought i would bring over my account of EP's fails to this thread!
Im so glad to finally read that EP have been shown for what they are!!!!!!!!
Meant to be some great company that everyone on here raved about....but yet can't even get an engine build right....fill you with high hopes of what your going to get back...you think you have until your nearly home and your ringing them back to tell them there is a problem! They have no care or consideration for the cars that they have in there, as John said the S1 was near MINT!! No word of a lie! It came back with a marks and a few dings, and the black over spray ...that was just unbelieveable!!! Took me and John a complete day to get that off, it did look fantastic again after mind, but we shouldn't have had to have done it in the first place!!!!!!
When the car originally went for work...it was because the head gasket had gone, after one re-build, and as explained above was then taken to EP! Filled with broken promises and now empy wallet, for what i might add money down for nothing!!!! Luke had the car for months, he said he would do a guarantee on the engine after he inspected it, but when his guarantee didn't prove his inspection very well he then charges John for work that should never have been needed had his inspection picked up any issues!!
John, if you remember correctly when you went to drive north, got barely 60 mile, had to turn back cos your fuel was disappearing,you got back on closer inspection there was an issue with the fuel lines and the metering head unit, we were out in the dark messing around with fuel pissing out of it? correct me if im wrong of course!
Also when it left Medway the engine bay looked mint, ya had a lovely white charge carrier when it went to them and came back a shoddy black one, with some horrid looking fasteners, they completely ruined the look of your S1 engine bay! Their work is just diabolical, when it was actually going on , ya just couldn't believe what you was hearing it was like a dream, if ya know what i mean!
Also when the car went to them the block was painted ford blue by Medway, when it came back from EP it was black!? Was this a different block or what? Why did it come back black?
Just another few issues to add to the list! COWBOY's is being generous, i wouldn't take nothing to them! They should have been named and shamed a long time ago!

I agree but after seeing the pictures how it was returned to me. Would you go there? Cosworth's there ok at, Seem's me morph and D4 have been shafted.
Just sharing my story, All the evidence is there, Take the warning or dont, If you get burnt any of you, After reading this then it's on your own head, I am just sharing my story!!! I would say this though i am not happy with the work they did and looking at my pictures would any of you be happy with that?

I very good friend of mine is having a cossie engine built by EP, made over 600brake yesterday and his had no problms at all!!
As someone said above, you'l hear good and bad storeis about every tuner!!

By the way I see my name at the top of this thread but I haven't been involved with EP since around September last year due to differences of opinion between me and Luke.
And I'm not a muppet with cash
More a friendly person who saw a business opportunity and took a chance. When things didn't work out Luke and I agreed to part company and we went our seperate ways.
I never owned Enhanced Performance and have never been involved with the day to day running. Luke and I still chat and now that he's involved elsewhere I wish him all the success in the world.
As has been said elsewhere Luke does good work but may lack organisational and admin discipline.

By the way i just got home from there about 1:30ish after arriving there at 9:20 where Luke was supposed to meet me. He was'nt there but think he had problems with his son so i'm not having ago amount that(these things happen). Then about 2 1/2 hours later i was told he would be in shortly, then AFR (the company he now works for/taken over EP) had another phone call saying he's been in a car accident, quite bad i think.
So in the end i did'nt see Luke today but the car was supposed to done so after being charged more than i was told the very day before i left with it idling at 1500rpm and when i got home found the P/S pulley had worn through my rad hose pissing water out every where.
