Other tuners would not deal with these people, so why did you?
The attitude was probably, get the numbers, get the money and not hear from them again. Job should not of been taken on really if people are not comitted 100% to complete it properly. Come back and bit you on the arse a bit, don't you think?
If people seen the inlet was shocking and thought what the hell is that, why was something not done about it before it left the workshop? Because it made the numbers.
You can have a million satisfied customers, it only takes one unsatisfied customer to change the reputation of a company. Word of mouth is everything these days.
Pay for what you get these days. Quality costs.

Ahh,of course,my poor memory!!!you don't need to remove much to get the cam out on the Cvh,I believe that was a design feature,as otherwise Luke would have probably spotted the bad springs.
We used to have 6 of those engines on engine stands to strip down when I did my ford apprenticeship,1.6 Cvh with brand new webber carbs on them WOW!!
Straight off the production line in Bridgend with various defects.
They had a few jag supercharged motors with the chargers on them as well and it was rumoured there were some crate Cossie motors but I never saw one!!

Sorry but how did you come up with the assumption that other tuners would not take on work from s1 john, d4 or me? well jamsport is fixing d4's car as we speak and has not asked for a penny for any parts yet, this isn't a question of money here, its purely shoddy workmanship on peoples cars.
Mine was gonna go to oddkidd orginally but i wanted something more modern than webber cossie stuff so opted with EP, at no point was there any question of money, wish i had actually listened to Jano and gone cossie setup.
What tuners are you refering to that turn away customers who come asking for work to be done to their cars?
To start calling us chavs just shows how mature you really are?

Good excuse danny, like you say you wasn't even involved.
However mine and d4's were built by 'ep or luke or both'
so it really doesn't wash how the a few things start popping up on all three cars that are similar:
head gaskits pop
engine bays a mess
parts swapping, thats normally known as 'THEFT'.

back in the day rs turbo's were seen as the poorer mans rs. they were a step along the way up to buying a cossie.
i wouldnt say todays owners would be boy racer/chav types at all!!!
all the boy racer/chav types have moved on to running saxo vtr's and alike.rs turbo's were fashionable in the mid/late 90's and early 2000's,then they began to move more into the "classic" market.
the last few rs turbos i have sold(last 2 years) have gone to enthusiasts-not chavs.
i used to find metering heads a pain to get right, but the mechanical engine side of the cvh is very very straight forward. if someone ever asked me to set up an rs turbo(fuelling) i always reccomended taking them to a specialist, like msd.

fuck me what a long thread
from what i have read i recon luke should have walked away from this at the start but instead he tried to help him out with cutting corners that also failed and then it became HIS problem and so it snowballed into a disaster
the MAIN worry i have is a company that NOBODY seems to own and the list of different names chucked about with " nothing to do with me anymore" and " he now works there" or even " i just help out from behind the scenes
FUCKING MAN UP FFS !!, you are far from helping ANYONE by being associated with a company when there is no issues, PERSONALLY i wouldnt even touch Dannys bodyshop now based on the confusion of the enhanced history ect and worse that ABC have been involved and i used to supply ABC stuff when i was working in that game
Danny,,,, this is being HONEST with you, you have a GOOD bodyshop business it seems,,, but your link with a company with a BAD history and grey areas and all the questions are just gonna make your business a no go place,,,, customers dont look at YOU as a business but they look at the actual BUSINESS and,,,,, sorry but aint gonna end up too easy IMO
think its time another tuner turned back into a general garage and went back to changing filters pads and discs and maybe the ocasional wheel bearing till he respects the difference between a Engineer and a tyre fitter
anyone with a tool kit can rent a unit and call himself a specialist as Jay pointed out, the actual skill is being able to discover what the issue is and what is the reason for the fail

Im sure you dont "give a fuck" what everyone else thinks though and us "cunts" shouldnt pick on your language or what you write.
sadly your on an internet forum where written text is the medium of communication and if you cant master that then no wonder there has been confusion all along.
Answer me this: why would any sane mapper "garuntee" an engine they havent built?? provide an inspection - yes, advise on general condition - yes but warranty something they didnt do? dont fucking think so.
Guarantee

Caz is a good friend of johns and she saw the car before it went into have said work done and also saw the end result, also was around for many of the conversations of trying to sort things out. So her points are vaild as she has actually seen the before and after of the car.
I also seen the end result and besides the major events with the engine etc the condition of the body work when it was returned was shocking, rust patchs and over spray, even if the engine work was up to scratch the condition of the boby work returned was shocking in its self.

I am infact John's now Ex, and still great mates with him! I was around from the very beginning as was in the car when the head gasket went, I was there when things went wrong and went from bad to worse! That is how i know what i know and can comment and say what I have! I have access to my laptop and the thread at the moment, and if i can answer any questions then i will do, and im sure when John can get full access to the internet and this thread then he will also answer any questions that need answering or if indeed i need correcting, but as im sure you will find, i know everything that happened and will stand by that 100%!

you must also belive that even if you done work on everyones car for free and got 1 Million BHP from a fiesta 1,25 and the thing EVERYONE would rememeber the company name would be from the one fuck up that happened and how it was delt with
would you let danny touch the car if you read this thread and it was BEFORE you knew him ????
would be a shame that a good person was brought down by being loyal to a friend who just seems to make his name get ruined if you get what i mean

cars dont just fail,,,, something happens to make them fail " car just let go" is neither a true statment nor is it a technical reason either
things i would say is CUSTOMERS do fucking lie about how they look after there cars,,,, ive seen how people kick the shit out of there cars then blame others when it goes wrong but then i also deal with alot of garges who fuck up peoples cars and mis diagnose issues and get the customers to pay for it aswell
my work was charged for 3 transit door rollers, 1 cable and then a exterior handle cause the door was being a bitch to open and it turned out to be the fucking lock mechanism was not adjusted correctly but we was told they other stuff needing doing as it was a mix of all of the issues making it happen,,,,,,,, AND THIS WAS A FUCKING COMPANY VAN FFS
only way to make sure a job is done 100 percent is to do it yourself and have a experienced person over looking incase you run unto problems

some heads its fucking hard to spot the cracks to they get sent off for testing at machine shops ( its part of a procedure during remanufacturing of parts,,,,,,, note remanufacture and NOT recondition as that is totally different and shite !!! )
