I would have thought only poss limiting factor would be what your tuner would be happy to run at standard comp, provided you had valve cut outs to allow big cams. Rods and crank are good for 500 hp - 6 long studs good idea over 400 hp I'd say.

not sure what the standard bolts can take without going long studded on the block.

i had an engine about 430bhp on a standard block/studs etc...

if you use a gt30 with a AB07 inlet cam you dont need valve cut outs , but would be best to get the head ported.

then use 83lbs siemens/ inlet spacer....

then high 400s are easy aslong as you use a wrc gasket

how much are bara box's? will i really need one i only do about 1500 miles a year and i dont really launch always rolling start.... is that what kills standard boxs? or is 400-500bhp going to destroy the box regardless?

i think u would fock the gearbox on hard launches. if your a ok ish driver it should be fine but its only so long that it would go ... i no cossies that are fine with 450bhp but i always say if i drove it i bet i would fock the gearbox in just a few launches...dont be too harsh on a mad launch and it will be fine imo

depends ive heard that people with 400bhp t34 cars kill their boxs due to the low down punch... but ive seen someone with an escos with 450bhp on a t38 who drove it pretty hard and never had a problem.....

for the price of a bara box you could do a rwd conversion lol.... and then sell your bits.

check ebay theres a few straight cut 4x4 boxs for sale at the mo, then r&d front and rear diff should finish it off

My pal has a 375 hp escos on totally standard bottom end and he's had it over ten years now and when it gets driven it gets driven hard. Just been apart for a wrc gasket and few oil seals etc and the bottom end is still perfect, No signs of dett or wear to speak of.
