Ok.... I'll start.....
You have 4 pipes on it
1) Feed from Tank fed by a lift pump
2) Outlet to High pressure pumps
3) Return from Fuel rail (Low Pressure)
4) Return to Tank (Low Pressure)

I asked Alex at AH if he foam fills his and he said there was no point. Also pump from fuel tank shouldnt be too high a pressure. Standard cossie pump ideal for a lift pump.
Obviously the object is to provide a constant uninterupted fuel supply for the main pumps to the fuel rail (s). Whether you are flat out down a straight or sideways around a bend with a high surge possibility without a swirl pot.

It's basically a cylinder (narrow and tall), what happens is when you go around a corner the fuel has to stay near the outlet to the fuel pump as it has nowhere else to go, as apposed to your fuel tank which is short and wide, when you go around a corner the fuel can be stuck at the wrong end of the fuel tank
