Default r888s any good in wet

Are R888s any good in wet on track days or should i run toyo t1s in the wet have both

Also what pressure people run higher lor lower for track

I find them good in the wet just not standing water but them I would not go on track if it was that bad
I start with 24 psi cold then check when you come in & mine go to 30psi if you go out with 30psi you will end up with 40 psi & they will over heat badly & go blue(done that the first time i used them) this all depends how hard you drive & how hot it is

Cheers mate doing the beds track day at the weekend and first track day in this car wont be going ultra mad if standing water going to place safe and use the 4be instead of the 2wd saff.

ian i drove my 3dr with them on, with around 450bhp on the road in the wet and they are the bollocks mate , much better than road tyres(dunlops) , as above they just wont like standing water.

lol no tyre is going to be good in the wet with rwd and 450bhp. In the dry there very good tyres i have 500bhp and the same torque and they hold traction in 1st and 2nd when warm

If they are new and its not big puddles they work pretty well.

good tyres in general but found them quite hairy with standing water on the motorway!

Best tyres i have had in the wet, including standing water....

This is on the escort.....at 1 bar boost no wheel spin LOL, amazing

you should have used them at pod and got them to wet the track for you if you they work in the wet with no wheelspin mate

lol all testing will be done a bedford autodrome this saturday lol

Your going anyway arnt you chip. Ill have me white 2wd saff and 4wd xr4x4 track car running lol 4be with slicks and saff with r888s

Did croft on them in the wet mate - proper pissing it down.

1 bar of boost - no spin, no antics.....overtaking 4x4's

not into the pod due to not having a box....

doubt the car will ever go to the pod ever again LOL

I still think they go off very quick in the heat though....its a fine juggling act on those and slicks and the track temp LOL

let u know after saturday tabs. They only come with 4.9mm of tread from new im told as apposed to 7/8mm so gues not as long

went out in a 450 bhp 3door at brands pissing down with wipers on full it was ok

good luck with noise at bedford been twice never got pass 12 once lol

My cars quiet and only running low boost on the day

Are you pete that always has his car at scottys red trackyfied one seen you up there a few times last time bolting an exhaust on the back or something

well forcast for hurricanes and heavy rain for saturday when i checked yesterday now gone to light rain fingers crossed will be dry

Had a set of new 888's on Lotus today at Bedford. They were SUPERB! and it was very wet!
