Default saab convertibles

missus says she likes the saab 9-3 convertible and wouldnt mind getting rid of her a4 diesel for one. anyone had any experience/ownerships of one??

i like the sound of the "hot" aero version with 225 bhp, but also need to know about any others in the range, for example, what is the difference with a "viggen" and a hot version etc. any help much appreciated.

are you talking about the newer ones, 04 onwards or older type? the older ones are good esp the viggen or aero apart from the scuttle shake, the newer ones are pretty much a vauxhall which says it all really

A vecta chassis with no roof for strengthening?

Certainly doesn't sound like a recipe for anything even remotely good...

My Mrs has one that will be for sale very soon
There nice cars and well spec'd. They do get scuttle shake and you need to check the steering racks and mounts are ok.

Ours is a 98/S done 97k in silver but has most extras inc leather electric seats. They all should have a standard electric roof as far as I'm aware .... Prices are all over the place but ones that are looked after with all the service records sell easier.

They look far better with the rood down than up IMO
