Garrett GT30 core.
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the GT BB series turbos have a built in oil restrictor into their main oil gallery?,i'm asking 'cos i've got a spare unit that has a tiny hex headed bolt that looks like it's holding in place a restrictor.
Any ideas?.

your right it does have an oil restrictor in it ,it has a 4mm thread in the center
you can pull the pin out with this but the core with the bearings in will be lose
ball bearing won't full out though
it sounds like the bolts in there to stop crap going in there
