Before you start changing wires around, how about checking continuity/voltage between the ECU multiplug and the monitor connector - if the connections are as per the manual, I'd leave them alone until Pectel get back to you or you speak to Scotty.

I find that hard to believe. I'd have thought that the board would communicate with the monitor. What is the problem ? Have you got the wrong board ? Or does the chip need enabling ? Is your mate 100% sure ?
So do you use your baby board in the L6 ? Or do you need a different one ?

if so there a mod on the board to activate data stream ??
it's l8when i did put my ecu in last night it did fire, but reved then died, i thought it just floody due to mixture, but no mate tried today, it's not running,
never put pectel board in l6, as it's not meant for it
it's either ecu pectel board or chip
the chip i have see with my own eyes run a car at steve scotts so i'm 99% sure that is ok.
the othe 2 are second hand

Is the Pectel Board meant for the chip you are running?
I was under the impression that (for example) Ahemd's boards will be encrypted to 'him' and his chips, and other tuners would have their own key/encryption on their boards/chips.....

One last thing - you mentioned dip switches - there are some internal dip switches on the monitor, I *think* the manual Andreas sent you would show if any of them are for switching ECU's etc.. as I can only remember them being for certain other functions.
I might be wrong on the board/tuner/chip thing, but I *think* I'm right - Steve'll know no doubt.
Harvey or Ahmed might be worth a call too, they may know exactly what the error means.
It's possibly worth knowing that the monitor's internal battery can go flat too, but wether this has anything to do with this I don't know - think it only affects data logging.

Well i'd like to thank stretch for popping over tonight 
we used a mix and match of his and my stuff, and we nailed the problem
the pectel board
though a good thing was I now know for sure the pectel monitor works
will get new pectel board and jobs a good un

Dont know wot was wrong with board but it kept coming up with a fault as described above.
Put my ecu in complete with my board/chip. Everything fine monitor working.
Put spiky's chip in my board/Ecu.Everything fine monitor working.
Put my pectel board in his ecu with his chip.And everthing fine monitor working.
So only thing different was my pectel board.
Pectel board looked fine with no burn marks and anything apparent wrong .So who's knows wot wrong with it.
