dent in fuel tank can you pull it out?

Default dent in fuel tank can you pull it out?

i got a dent in my fuel tank not a massive one,but looks like a crease can you safely pull it out? or just leave it?

I dont think I would like to heat a fuel tank up but if it was anything else I would say heat and airline.Obviously blocking any outlets.Its how I used to repair expansion chambers on exhausts anyway.

If it doesn't leak, leave it. I think its sometimes better not to disturb these things.

Been thinking about putting lots of dents in mine, that way 10 quid will give me full tank

At work we ran compressed air through 1 and it pulled the dint out no problem.

I may agree with evil dude though.If its not causing the sender to read wrong I would be tempted to leave it be unless the tank is relatively new.

If it's creased where the dent has occured it needs leaving alone, as it will be serious hassle to remove it, the crease line make sit a lot stronger, the reason they put them in large panels areas.
