Default Elec problem

I've recently reshelled my saff and while checking everything over ready for mot I have found that I can't get the headlights to work on dip or main beam but I have side lights. I can flash the headlights using the indicator stalk. Also I don't know if it's related but the windowscreen washers and horn doesn't work either. I'm thinking maybe light/wiper stalk or an earth. Does anyone know where all the earths are for the headlights. Any help is much appreciated
Thanks Billy

It sounds like the stalk as it works with the flasher so clearly the connections are ok, bypass the switch as a test there is a relay for the dip/main, the earths are behind the headlights themselves on the bodywork.

The horn and washers are completely different circuits, the horn again has a relay and is fuse number 13 or 14 IIRC (30A)

Cheers martin i thought they were the only earths for headlights and they are ok. If they flash then surely they are earthed ok. Do you know which relay is the dip/main
Thanks Billy

Again if it flashes the relay must be ok, for the main beam at least, I would check the switch first. I can give you the relay number, IIRC it's a black one?

Sorted now I removed the stalk and give a good spray with some wd40 and worked the stalks up and down, refitted and they work now. Must not have liked sitting about for 6 months not being used. Cheers for the help mate
