I hate Corsas, especially wee bams that say "aw mines a twinport its rapid" hate the wankers that put big silly spoilers and bodykits on these wee shitty old ladys cars.

If your trying to imply its not massive power just because a fwd and heavy car with full interior and normal road tyres took 13 seconds to run a quarter I think you are too used to cars quite a few hundred kg less in weight.
Zafiras are NOT good at launching, I dont know the exact power of Ateeurs corsa when it ran the quarter you are on about but it was certainly "lots" to be managing to get an old bus like that to accelerate so hard on the 2nd 1/8th that it ran a 13 despite a crap start.
Bear in mind that Rod tarry with 650bhp was only doing high 11s and his car is a lot better off the line than a Zafira is.

You can't compare a fwd car with what I expect has near to stock suspension to Rods which is on much wider tyres, well setup geometry and the main fact that its rwd so WILL lay the power down far better.

FWD is only quick on the quarter when its lightweight and all that weight is biased towards the front.
That zafira is all wrong for launching so its pointless trying to guess its power from an ET

Funny you say that about the Ecotec Chip, I just recieved a book this morning from the states on how to build a Ecotec to drag spec, some serious stuff in there and TONS of info on whats used, Wire Ringing/ copper gasket being one. Sadly its reasonably current so its based on the chain driven engines but still pushing 1400hp

Those drag cars are cool
And kind of point out what im saying about FWD cars having the weight a lot further forward to work well than a standard zafira

Ive seen the zafira and spoke to the guy,37 and owns a nightclub in birmingham, when i saw him he had the munchies after smokin bud in mpg's 1.2 corsa pmsl
It was 611bhp on a gt30, now it has a secret spec gt35x with a tial housing and is aiming for 700, Hes spent Ł50k on it and also has a 1.2 sxi corsa with a 600bhp gt35 z20, they both have m32 boxes and many other wizardry And even he says theyre pointless, homohamhead he was talkin about you sayin about a white 4x4 saph and magenta 4x4 saph lol, he also has a YB powered mk2 escort project and literally that day bought a gt30 impreza bugeye....

He's done a lot of it himself but I think his last bottom end was built by steveboyslim for him
I believe they race about 2 miles when they go down the A38, so im sure its pretty competitive there even against cars that would kill it on the quarter mile where it struggles for traction.

No offence to the guy but I've seen the 700bhp graph and it's either very clever, witchcraft or
Evo1 and getting closer to 800 from what I hear, however Mr Shead may be able to tell us more. Some of the RX7's will be quicker as well I imagine
About a mile, but I hear he isn't embarrased (sp?) much. Very quick car

Worst one ever for me has to be the calbra! I hated them when they were about years ago, never forgve my best mate for turning up round my house in is newly acquired one What made it especially worse were the TSW stealths with dodgy offset (making them stick out the arches) Hideous cars in my opinion.
I always had a serious hatred for 80's and 90's vauxhall dashboards and especially the heater control area, the look of the fan knob with the built in rear demister (iirc) actually made me feel sick.
Did have a lot of fun in my mates b reg astra gte though, it was a rapid little car. It was a 1.8 and blew up eventually, he put the later 2.0 in expecting it to go even better but it seemed worse and he sold it not long after. I actually (stupidly) tried to relive those days by buying a 16v mk2 gte many years later for a work runner, soon sold it and went back to jap turbo stuff.

fuck it start them young lol, ive wanted a 2wd saph since i was 8-9 years old, a local lad built a replica from a ebony black ghia on a h plate, has a YB in it and all the trim and escos wheels, the plate reads somethin like H7--REP and is still goin around.
There used to be shit loads in my town in the early 2000's, now theres only around 10 and theyre garaged and never used, 1 being a rs500 on gold rl7's, 2 white 2wd saphs, a reshelled 3 door in a 1.6 shell, a mallard t25 escos, a magenta 4x4 and a moonstone to name a few
