People seem to be forgetting you can have as much security on your car as you want, it does NOT stop someone putting your car onto the back of a low loader or the use of HIBAS. Most thief's probably don't have the knowledge to use that equipment and indeed the security systems that modern cars now posess.
The equipment mentioned is not exactly easy to use either by reading the description it says you need to remove the IC and then place into the device, well how long is that going to take? This is why thief's now need keys to steal cars.

And that only gets you past the physical locks. it does nothing for the immobilisor or aftermarket alarm of which everything in my post tells you if youd bothered to read it.
still takes him a good while to get in even with the custom designed tibbe pick.
i agree although it might cause a bit of an arms war with burglars as theyd be tooled up with kevlar and shooters because theyd be expecting to encounter guns.

so the upshot is theres people on here who think one thing and others that think or know otherwise.
basically with a special tool you can buy cheap off the internet i know i could get into a ford puma or a escort cosworth and disable the steering also in i reckon average around a minute.
i'm not arsed about if you can switch alarms off or start it when a theving shite can just tow it away. The other day i saw a 60 seater coach getting pulled by a disco,i could hear loads of revs and thought fucking hell.

if however on the other hand the alarms going and the vehicle is on a tow truck or draw bar having been professionally entered and towed nobody would bat a eye,no damage and people don't act on alarms unless its there car or someone knows it or the robbers act suspicious,on a busy side street in Hanley i bet people would think its a breakdown recovery.
take it easy man
gone in 5 seconds never mind 60
