Default Will my turbo be ok?

Hello,

So took the hoses off looked on the turbo and to me it dont look to good, Aslo should it be so wet.

Also i have no clue about these things, Do you just unbolt everything on the turbo and it will just come off and when you put it back i dont have to do anything different do i?

Many Thanks Eigdoog

looks like you've have FOD (foruin object damage) on the impeller, have you run the engine without a filter before, also if the turbo wasent ballenced due to the damage then it could course the seals to leak, maybe why the turbos wet around the center section.

What turbo is it mate? I can probably get it reconditioned for you for about £160+ parts, I have freinds who run thier own turbo recon business.

From the pics it will need a new compressor wheel at the very least, you might be better off just buying a second hand unit in good condition?

well if its money you dont want to spend then i sugest you get out of cosworth ownership asap mate

a turbo rebuild is about .1% of whats gonna be spent lol

it can get out of controll very very quick especially if you dont know the basics like what turbo you have

im not taking the piss out of you mate by any means but what you gonna do when you get a simple miss fire

paying tuners to sort every problem that WILL pop up is gonna hurt your pocket
