I'm sure you can use the standard one? Or do you want one in the boot or something?

just what will be the easiest tbh.could always set something up in the boot well.but if i can buy or mod the fuel tank.i have heard that i can use the 1.4i mk2 fiesta fuel tank.but i don't want to be messing about cutting open the fuel tank and welding a swirl pot in.so if i can find a pretty much strait swap tank that would be great

I dont reckon the mk3 Fiesta turbo tank will be a direct fit , try the Fiesta centre for an injection mk2 tank ? The one i bought years ago was actually for a diesel apparently , it came with a swirl pot internaly. In the end ,madly enough , i changed it for an escort rs turbo swirl pot with a larger outlet all fabricated for me .
For realibilty and good constant fuel supply on these Xr2 turbo,s it seems the better way to go is using an external swirlpot as i described in another thread(unclear i know )I may be wrong , get a search on the go and see pics of setups

My best advice is to try and search the forums that are dedicated to this car and engine combo you,ll have lots of people who have tried and tested etc etc

Personally i,d go for mfi as it keeps it the era of the mk2 but thats just being fussy lol

Mike

go efi and use an external swirlpot set up, its what i use on mine and works mint with the standard tank. fiesta centre tanks are apparently shit, you need to keep the tank above half to prevent starvation. Have a look on xrtwo.com plenty of info on there.

heres a link to my project build mate

http://xrtwo.speedcentral.co.uk/view...564&highlight=

heres a link for plumbing in a swirl pot, you'll need 2 fuel pumps. im using a facet red top to feed the swirl pot and a sierra cossie external pump to feed the engine.

https://passionford.com/forum/ford-s...questions.html

hope this helps, like i said, get onto xrtwo.com plenty knowlege and sound guys there

^^ that looks mint pal , may of seen a pic of your car before does it have a 2wd cossie intercooler mounted in the recess of the lower front panel and very neat with it ?

Very nice
I bought my old xr2Turbo back in 1997 Aug 5th which i just fell in love with , i was 19 by then and already owned a fairly standard black xr2 c330 gyc so was really into them .

I,ll never forget that day i bought it and drove her home from Luton airport area i was a cheshire cat all day ,it had cloth mk3 fes rs1800 interior F+B , 3 spoke fes turbo wheels and a gorgeous colour all colour coded ,rs vents and Leda suspension and other subtle touches , the thing was simply stunning and I miss it so much . The smell of it , the noise of the exhaust and rs turbo roar/gurgle for me was what its all about , it suits it down to a tee imo .
My friend has it now (reshelled) and i,m part of putting it back together along with friends help and i cant wait for the day i have another go

Absolutely brilliant conversion if done right , the fun factor of the whole thing oozes coolness and lunicy and makes everyone either stare n wonder or laugh and admire .

I Love Xr2 turbo,s , can you tell lol .......great memories that,ll stay with me

Mike
