#41
looks nice but shame about the rot and the arch, normally with the mk6 escorts you will find they have either had the arches repaired before and are now mint, or they havent been done and are like yours, but im sure it will be worth repairing it
How many miles on it? and i bet that was abit of a trek from west mids

It won't be for sale yet, maybe in the summer though
That would have been good mate. Be nice to see the FoCos.
For what I paid for it, it should be rotten beyond repair  so I'm not bothered. I'll get it sorted at some point as I don't like looking at it. lol.
Was a bit of a trek but I don't mind a bit of driving.

A couple of quick pictures after I picked it up. Lovely drive home through the
Lake District. It's in better nick than I expected and all the electrics work properly and the Recaros are mint.
Got a Clifford cat1 remote alarm, KW V1 coilovers, 17 OZ Superleggeras and a full Magnex system. Also, every MOT from new, origional bill of sale, full Ford main dealer service history upto early 2006 when it was sold on 80k odd miles (on 94k now), Since May 2010 it's had alot of work, new wheel bearings all round, new wishbones, new fuel pump and lines, new front tyres, new fusebox totalling £2,500! It pulls all the way to the limiter and it's quicker than I expcted if I'm honest. Really chuffed, it's a cracking little car.
Few little niggles, the passenger rear arch has blistered and the bottom of the drivers wing has rotted so theres a bit of movement in the bottom of the wing but for what I paid (pretty little ) I can't moan at all.
Who ever say's the RS2000 isn't a "Proper RS" needs their head checked. It's a fantastic little car.

I think it's the door, Steve. It needs adjusting. Needs a good push up shut it. That one rear quarter has had paint for corrosion. It's in the invoices. That pic does make it look a totally different colour Might have to take the front bumper off and check, but the sam panel was original and undamaged when I checked.

Nice car mate,
Wheels look good too, haven't checked mpg on mine but far better than bird's bmw 328i, and I prefer to drive mine although I prefer rwd.
Happy motoring mate!!
