Default Can anyone tell me the prob with this car....

Is my cousins 1.4 T reg clio, the bubble shaped headlight version

it wont start, it turns nice and fast but just wont fire

*there is no spark
*he has had a new coil pack on it
*new crank postion sensor fitted
*and he has changed some sensor thats mounted on the gear box that tells it to spark or someting

but no luck

it was running fine then it wouldnt start, then it would be ok then now it wont start at all

any ideas ???

is it now definately sparking well on all cylinders. check by taking the plugs out.

if they are and the gaps are fine then it could be a fueling problem.

Think it's electrical the lad who is looking at it fiddled about with some wiring that runs near the n/s wing and then he got a spark

Its the alarm system, they are prone for it!

My ex's had the same problem, i ended up sending off the alarm to someone to have it disabled, think it cost me around £70.

Google should help.

I suspected the alarm but it's not that, I found a snapped wire, re soldered it and it's now working....French shite!!!

Took a few days but it solved the problem. Most auto electricians either wont touch it or want £300+ to do the same job.
You will need to sort some kind of alarm out for your insurance though.
