Whats the avg top speed of a standard XR2? A mate of mine says hes been in one at 135? And I wasnt sure if i believed it as its a 1.6

Also whats the avg top speed of a standrard fiesta turbo and rs1800?

Rs Turbo 133mph
rs1800 127mph

i could only see the xr2 pushing 135 if it was running a fiesta rs turbo engine .

Around 110MPH I should think no way 130 even when new leave alone now LOL.

RST at 133MPH sounds more realistic.

mine would read 115 to120 on the clock so about 112 to 115

Yeah,had 120 on the clock pretty easily on mine but at 10% overead then that's 108 mph so I think 135's Hollywood myself.standard wheels and tyres?their an oddball size from memory on them so any alterations would affect the rolling radius/speedo readings.

My modified XR2i 8v was making about 130bhp and topped out on its Performance Ford Grudge Match at a Speedo indicated 135mph which on the posh test kit showed as being just 119mph.

slightly off topic i remember once in my rs2k powered mk1 escort having it off the clock (110mph)and thinking wow but checked the gps reading on my phone was saying i was only doing 78mph lmao
