My earliest car memory was a brown Cortina estate, but I can't remember which one. I *think* it was a mk3, but I could be wrong. I don't remember what came next, but as family cars I remember us having a silver Bedford Midi, a gold/beige Nissan Prairie, a blue Vauxhall Midi (my family had four kids, so multi-seater's were the name of the game, especially with family holidays around the UK). I remember my dad having a silver Rover 21x - the angular, boxy one (google suggests the 213 84-89 model, although I'm sure it was a 214), as well as a platinum Vauxhall Cavalier (mk3, no idea what engine), and he also had a mk1 Fiat Uno Turbo. Because of that, both my older brother and I had Uno's as our first cars (actually, my brother had two Uno's as his first car - I say first, as he wrote the white one off in less than 12 hours after passing his test, and the bought a black one to replace it. Incidentally, my dads one was white, so was mine - although neither my brother or I had a turbo model). My mum later had another Prairi, since she loved the first one, and then a Renault Megane Sceneic and now a Vauxhall Meriva. Even though she no longer has kids to ferry about, she still likes a people carrier, mainly for the elevated sitting height as she's only dinky.

Nothing!

First car in the family was my mini 850 that I had aged 17 and used to drive to school occasionally. Handy for the "social" life!
My parents both learned to drive after I did.....

That's in 37 years. He manages to keep cars going a long time
Nearly forgot about the big red fire engines he used to drive about!! That was the coolest thing when I was a lad out with all my mates and would suddenly hear some 'two tones' going off and my dad waving. Proud moments!!

Was good fun, the P100 spent most of the time going sideways as he used to do rally driving.

The E type is still registered and the Cossie is sorn, not sure about the rest.

Tried to find the RS1600 but had no luck - meant to have gone to Ireland. It was a development car for a tuning company before he bought it.
