My parents never sat a test but I remember when I was about 4 my mum had a blue hillman avenger in the days when you could drive on a provisional

From my first memorys i can remember my dad had a light blue mk4 cortina,then he got a dark blue mk5 cortina.Then he got a talbot alpine WEF442Y.

Then a vauxhall carlton B913TYJ.It was a nice car then it started to burn oil so my dad put new piston rings in it and it still smoked afterwards lol.

Then my dad got a red sierra i think it was a Greg 1.6l which was a nice car.

He then got a vauxhall cavalier automatic H reg.It started to have problems with the gearbox so it got sold of a peugot 309 D.

Then my got a blue W reg clio.My dad bought a peugot 605??? auto.The also had problems with the auto box.That got scrapped then i got my dad a cheap L reg mk3 fiesta 1.1 from were i work for 150 guid.It was a bit of a bone shaker but it was very reliable.

At the time my mam got a 51reg Focus which they still have.I used to use th fiesta for a while for work before my dad sold it.

then late 50s / early 60s brought my brothers 220bhp s2 lol and loved it then for his retirement present my mumber got him a 05 plate scooby and hes 67 this year and still loves it lol

Only remember my mum having one car which was a light blue mk2 escort estate 1300 which she decided to write off by crashing into a milk float after dropping me to school!!

My dad bought her another car but she refused to drive it as she lost all confidence in her ability to drive as she suffered with MS and eventually became wheelchair bound and never drove again.

My dad had a few cars, some I obviously won't remember but I think this is the order they came in!

A White Sierra 2.0i Ghia G222ALU (I bought this with a snapped timing chain when I was an apprentice at my local ford dealer, repaired with my dad and gave to him in exchange for letting me off with 6 months rent which never happened!! ). I still own this car!

When he bought the grey sierra, he was actually going to be buying a magenta 4x4 saph from the local dealer but had to back out of the deal as mum and dad got divorced!!

My Dad had the following cars.

His first car was a Mk 3 Escort 5 door Ghia which was either a 1.3 or a 1.6. I can't remember which.

He wrote that off within weeks and ended up with an S registered Cortina 2 litre Ghia.

He sold that for an Sunburst red Escort estate which he fitted an XR3I engine to. That was A493GCM.

He sold that and bought an Orion 1.6 i ghia. That was B299UNW.

From there he sold that on and bought an XR4X4. That was D381LEC.

That was traded in for his first Cossie which was 2 years old and completely standard with 37k on the clock. That was H407NFA. Until recently Trevcoss on here owned it but I think he broke it. No idea where it is now.

After the Cossie came a Mk 5 XR3I 130BHP model. Registration K69 and I can't remember the rest. That was 6 month old when he bought it.

After that came a Mondeo 2.0 LX. L599OEG. That got lowered with a set of 17" wheels. That was sold on for his current car and the longest he has ever owned a car for.

His current car is a Sapphie Cossie which he has owned for the last 10 years which he bought shortly after I bought my series 1. He has also got a little Fiesta that him and his new wife bought between them.
