Default One for the old skool mountain bikers

Took some photos of my old Pace RC200. Doesn't see a lot of action anymore, but is a class bike. What do you reckon its worth as it was the last of the all square frames. The next year they started making them with a round seat tube.

Its hard to believe this bike is over 10 years old.

Paul, fantastic bike mate!

Proper old skool MTBing man!!

In all fairness it probably isn't worth a huge amount but those frames and forks especially are something special indeed

I can remember Dave Hemming racing one of those in a rare cross country appearance in his Pace days.

WOW..a real blast from the past. Proper engineering.

Keep it, ride it every now and again and enjoy it.

Just out of interest, how do you get on for a front mech for them now. I'd consider trying to pick up an old one as it would be a child hood dream come true but i thought they had bolt on suntour front mechs?

Lovely bike that Paul

I agree on the bars though

I have some flat USE bars at home that would be ideal

Here's my old skool ride:

I was the first person I knew to have some Club Roost - Go Fast bars..they were fookin expensive too. I had the triple butted shot peened and hard anodised ones that were about Ł55!!!!!

Took me three whole weeks to snap them, then I worked out that using the brace makes them weaker..........and fookin creak!

I've still got the straight Orange bar and x-lite bar ends in the garage, I'll swap them over if I get bored.

Loving that RC-200

Always wanted one of those but never had the wedge. Always loved the RC-35 forks but couldn't get them when I finally got round to getting some so ended up with MAG 21's. Panaracer Dart on the front I spy as well. Good choice

Here's my old hack

Used to be well into my MTB'ing until some dappy bitch wiped me out

my 'SantaCruz' Heckler, it was in bits for 5 years, so i put it back together last
year to use for work. I have a 'proper' ride on it every now & then,,, but my
lack of fitness & portion of fatness kinda holds me back

paul its worth what someone wants to pay

but tbh y will get alot more for it as a frame and forks deal , the frame is mega rare as it cost 895 quid in there day and mint source used to ride a pace too ( if any of ya read MBUK before it went all jumps and trials )

id deffo love the bike as ya know paul and if the mech does stop working ya gotta use a road bike mech like my formula carbon frame uses

when i went to buy pauls engine heb was talking about what he done to it ect and i was ignoring him and talking about the abandoned pace bike

oranoco when ya gona get the shocks stipped apart then

oh and to stop the creak with the brake you retighten the bolts, i still got my club roost bars on my bike, cost me 65 quid too , do not get xlite bars though ( the bar ends are the tits, not sayiong anything about them !!!) the x-lite bars where too fooking light and i snapped them under heavy braking when a black cab pulled out on me , imagine what happened with em of road

we shoudl arange a PF bike day soon , i wanna start training again and get fit ( note i dont wanna and dont need to loose weight in anyway ) as i wanna do 1 final season of the nationals

Does a Raleigh Grifter count as an old Mountain bike?! It had a kick ass 3 speed Sturmey archer gear set up - nice!

A PF ride?? You lot sounds far too XC for my liking and i'm far too unfit for that nowadays!! (and my only complete bike at the moment is a 16" Azonic DS-1 on '97 Z1's with a 40 toother up front so not the best for anything uphill )
