Default Head gasket change on rover 214i

...1997 model, does it need to have the head bolts changed aswell?

head bolts are the least of your worrys lol if its a k seires if it got really hot it will need a head or even a new block as they worp just scrap it but the ones we have done at work have had new bolts i think they came in the kit

if you're really going to bother then go for the mls gasket if its available on the 1.4 should be ok with a skim if the head hasnt warped

Rover were going to offer blown head gaskets as an option, but decided to simplify production ,again, and make it standard on all K series engines.
