My Mate Si owns that XE Powered mk2 XR2 
if its lying around not moving it gets a XE fitted

I want to see pics of that car too.
Saw a tiny pic of it in a mag a couple of years ago and it was just a side profile with the rocker cover just visable, no engine bay pic! Fools

Surely it would be simpler to use the Vauxhall box and clutch etc. and get 2 shafts made ?
The F20 is a nice gearbox to use which can handle some power, where as the Ford equivalent does neither well imo.

vauxhall box .....you prob wont need to get shafts made because some of the vauxhall shafts have same spline as ford,just need to mod the circlip position. get a look at a shaftec catalogue...gives splines,lengths etc
