Bust the box  Still.... rinsed an E46 M3 in the process
Went to have a drive of that works cooper S today. Have to say was quite impressed.... But thats another story.
On the way home took a little detour down a private bit of dual carrigeway near me. Toodling along at a steady 40-50 funnily enough chatting about the M3's just seen in the dealers and how one WILL be mine .... An M3 comes FLYING up behind me.... would've been rude not to really.... slammed it from 4th to 3rd pull 2 car lengths on him EASY..... go from 3rd to 4th and as I come out of third there is a huge CRUNCH / granching noise, I hesitated for a second or two then carried on into 4th then 5th... Then slowed right down for a roundabout which leads us back onto a 30 mph narrow public highway .... came to a halt in traffic the box is making the loudest clattering noise I have ever heard, the most embarasing bit is the fact the M3 is now back right behind me while my car is clanging away pmsl.... got to another junction he came alongside gave me a bit of a nod and smile and carried on in another direction.... Dont think he noticed .
Drives fine in all gears except 3rd, though it is just a little embarrasing driving through a narrow "shopping" village not REALLY the reason I want to turn heads in my car
Oh well..... never mind was a little annoyed at firdt but once I knew exactly what it was not too much of an issue
Anybody got a nice ideally genuine low mileage 4WD box???
