well when you use air injectors you are just using them as a way of metering the air present at the actuator, like you do with any control valve

for me an electronic boost controller is the better option.
however, it all depends if you have a top notch ecu which is good with air injectors.
cost of either can be about the same, ebc's can be cheaper though and the gizzmo IBC MS is a bargain for £200

ECU control is always the best way but personally I would never use so called "air injectors" for the following reasons...

1) Cost !
2) They are an under bonnet fashion item IMO !
3) If they stop working for any reason you get uncontrolled over boost... BANG !!

im with simon,, it has to be ECU controlled, or the engine has a variable it CANNOT control!

To me they always came across as a quick and dirty solution to a problem, that had lived on in the YB market because 'everyone does it this way'.

I would be interested to hear from those who actually fit these things what exactly they provide as a benefit over the multitude of proper control valves on the market?

It just seems a bit strange to misuse a component, I can see why it was done originally all those years ago but why stick with it now?

Edited to add: Standalone boost controller is a separate issue from using air injectors.
