As long as they're serviced regularly and treated well
they're a really good engine, cambelt is due at
150k or 10 years so would be worth checking its been done.

The engines are spot on if they have been looked after. A know of a family member who had a mk2 mondeo with the similar engine and that had over 300.000 miles on it and it was still going strong.

Got mine earlier this year.. £4200 for a 06 plate lwb in silver with 30k miles was a right bargain compared to others for sale. Just recently the battery light stays on though sure I've read some where it's a common fault anyone know what it is?

Use these at work, typically get replaced around 120k or 3 years old. Seem to keep going forever if serviced regularly, good vans if you get a good spec.

It's normally a break in one of the wires on the smart charge loom which clips into the cooling fan cowling, easy to fix.
