Just watched a coppers with the EDL and UAF what are your views on both of these groups?

Please don't turn this thread into a racial hate one!!

Mine are: although I can appreciate some of the EDL's point against anti England and muslim extremist, I just think they go about it the wrong way and the group is full of c18, bnp and faaaaaaaar right wing thugs!!

UAF: great unwashed!!

UAF seemed to cause more hassle then then EDL on that showing, Last time EDL protested in Leeds/Bradford (pretty recently) it was the large groups of Asian youths going there with the intent of causing public disorder that flared off the fighting in the streets.

Not defending any of the groups at all, they are all as bad as each other but it certainly does seem that it's only a small proportion of each group intent on causing problems, the majority of people appear to be there for the sake of it and don't want to get involved with all the aggro.

Think the number of arrests speaks volumes! What was it 20 for EDL and 50+ for UAF. Theres nothing wrong with been proud of your country, everyone else in the world is allowed to do it, just we (read english) have to bend over backwards to accomodate every *unt and his dog and make them feel welcome for fear of been called racist.
The coppers were ace, "im gonna break your nose!".

My daughter asked me that, as much as I dont like the filth youve got to appreciate they are only there as a job and been swung at with lumps of wood aint exactly fair play so telling a member of public to fuck off isnt really a biggie in the grand scheme of things. Its not like they popped there head in to burger king and told everyone to go fuck themselves, it was generally only pointed at those breaking the law in the first place.

I appreciate how difficult there job can be but just from watching various programmes it happens alot.

was watching one the other night where the cop warned a guy for swearing at him, then the cop called him a 'fucking prick' just seems to be double standards. 'do as i say not as i do' type of thing

Because it's the only way to make people understand when they are swearing in the first place. It's no good standing there with hat on, tattoos covered, tie straight saying "Excuse me sir, it would be awfully nice of you to stop your foul tirade please" - it just doesn't happen - Talk to them like they talk to us PROVIDING it is justifiable - But having said that, there are plenty of loose cannons out there who will give all coppers a bad name

On a side note, during our training we were made very aware about use of offensive language and the general theme and what the courts will say is if someone is taken for a Section 5 public order and the only witness is a police officer then since we are in the uniform our tolerance levels should be much higher and are to expect such language in our direction. Swearing and being generally expletive alone would not be enough grounds to arrest someone except if it causes members of the public alarm, harassment or distress, but if it is directed at an officer/member of public then Section 4a applies and has more ground. Obviously threats of violence becomes Section 4 and now the grounds to arrest are there if directed at an officer/member of public.

At the end of the day, anyone can be arrested for anything provided the necessity test of Section 24 PACE has been applied - Generally if someone if swearing and shouting it is annoying but you have to deal with each incident on an individual basis.

That's why that chap from the UAF who was interviewed on Coppers was not charged with Section 5 public order as the only person(s) he was allegedly causing alarm/harassment/distress were police officers.

I loved the way the tree huggers came out with all their spout, but when the copper got the chance to tell them the fact and not a one sided rant, they just looked owned and started saying sorry lol!!

Typical of these c*nts, they dont know what the f*ck they are talking about and have a romantic idea of things, 90% of them are geeks that LOVE to think they are making a difference and bring the world into harmony when in truth, THEY CAUSE DIVIDE between cultures.

The other problem is the nazi like groups that give as ban an impression of anyone wanting to take pride in England making the do gooders work easier as you are made to feel racist and tarnished to be proud of your heritage due to skinhead mentality.

Back or white, the majority of people are more concerned with paying the bills and enjoying life, happy to just all mingle along. It is the minority groups of do gooders or nazi's that stir the shit up!!
