I agree though, Rod IS a twat!

With regards to that accident I was involved in (which was in no way my fault!!!!!), the insurers have decided because of the weather conditions they're going for 'knock for knock'... Which means I've now got a 'blameworthy' on my record. I'm appealing it because if I don't, and with me currently being on a 2 year suspended dismissal, I'm gonna get the sack!

At least 50% of all the CDs we send out (with the pics from people's photoshoots) go missing in the post! I presume that some Posties think they're going to get a music CD and so have them away. Properly boils my piss, as people think we've not been arsed to send them out!

mal although your right about criminal records, danW's experience is not uncommon. Im sure there are psychological testing they could do in the interview phase to weed out those who might thieve stuff (thats if you believe the shrinks that recon there are common character traits with people who steal.).

on the accident front, i agree you need to fight your corner. I hope you took loads of photos of the incident as it looked like there wernt many tyre tracks so easy to trace the path of the two vehicles and from the photo you posted it looked like you swerved off the road for the oncoming vehicle. As long as the photos show he was in middle of the road then you might be ok. Insurers love knock for knock as its just easier on the paperwork.

Temporary withdrawal of the Special Delivery™ guarantee

The Special Delivery™ guarantee has been temporarily withdrawn for all SD items posted since Wednesday 1st December 2010. We will restore the guarantee of delivery as soon as we can be sure we can honour the service promise in full, but for the time being the suspension remains in place.

So basically we're all fucked?

Hmmmmm, so i assume this means that people who have already paid for special delivery are entitled to a refund as they have breached the contract? They cant surely get away with withdrawing the guarentee and back date it to the 1st when people have already paid for next day!?!?!

So they will guarentee it next day and take your money, but if they cant get it there in time, they will withdraw the guarentee anyway? Whats the point in having a guarentee then, doesnt that defeat the object?

When i was a postie i remember we had the new frames coming and we had to take the old ones out, there was letters under the old frames over 4 years old,not just one there was a few under nearly all of them, they were given to the manager and we had to deliver them
Better late than never eh?

And the amount of times we get blamed for late letters (cheques ect) then you look at the date stamp and it was only posted the day before
This happens alot even with companys sending parcels out

surely in sorting machines theres only so many places letters can fall, and if a postie picks up a mail sack and it splits, surely he picks it all up again and if letters randomly fall on the floor, youd expect the cleaners to not put letters they sweep up in the bin but back in the system etc.

and with parcels they are even bigger
