Default LED TVs . . .

Been pratting around for ages wondering what telly to get and decided to go a 42" ish LED TV. Who's got one, what you got, any to steer clear from etc. Would a plasma be better for picture quality etc. Help much appreciated guys. cheeRS, Dry

I got me a 46inch samsung led for 850. Love it compared to my sony 40 inch lcd.

It is indeed mate , got it teh day it was released about 5 months ago!!!! Great TV although never really used the 3D features on it!!!!

Floor is great although a bitch to keep clean!!

the difference is not to major between an led an a lcd the screens are almost identical the major difference is the lcd uses stripe lighting to illuminate the picture but the led uses led bulbs thousands so the picture is brighter an more graphic. the down side is the screens only last bout 40000 hours as the blues pigment goes. but tbh thats bout 8yrs of on every single days every hours. an as for led vs plasma led all day an samsung is the best choice in my opinion

i find the colour in the led is deeper and there is richer blacks (more like a plasma) compaired to a lcd but some LED tellys are side lit and some are back lit, back lit ones are better but more expensive and thicker, this is compairing to like with like 42" sony tellys
