Default One for the VAG / VW / Audi / DUB / Seat / Skoda whatever people

Driveshaft question.

Is there an equal length (ie 2 part on the drivers side) driveshaft available to fit the AGU/BAM etc engine/box?

Thinking about fitting a 20VT to my clio but want to avoid ending up with one shaft massively longer than the other if possible in the interests of limiting torque steer.
What do the Vag folk do normally, is there a setup like the vauxhall lads have (nick it off a calibra, fit in your corsa etc) or do they just live with the difference in shaft length?

martin has an equl lenght set up on his yellow MG but he made it himself and used rover bits if i remember as i was asking him about it for my ibiza cupra.

I looked into it before but couldnt find anything out there available but thats not to say there isnt anything available. If you find anything let us know as 350bhp through the front wheels of an ibiza is shocking

why me? lol even me mates have forgot i own the ibiza its been off the road that long.

I need to look into sorting the torque steer out as it really is that bad. The problem is most of the ibiza cupra lot are all young lads who tend to just slap on big turbos and forget about the rest and are purely interested in chasing figures. The only 1 i can think of that has a serious ibiza race car is Bill at Badger5 but he isnt cheap at all.

there is a setup that uses three shafts on a variant of the 20vt in the Alhambra/sharan.
bits are feckin expensive as it uses a stub shaft in the box, then a 1/4 shaft then a driveshaft on the o/s.

That sounds ideal, like a calibra 16v setup!

Sounds promising then!

Will keep a look out for them.

Do you know which models specifically had them? ie what engine sizes etc or is it literally just the 20vt one you mentioned? and do they fit all the different boxes?

The Octavia VRS has one long shaft and a small one. It's the only Skoda iirc with the 20vt engine, so you can rule that out
