buy yourself some purposeful degreaser and a decent spray bottle , with a cold bay either work in small areas if its bad or just spray the whole bay and let it dwell for a period . Make sure you cover any sensative electrical items with plastic bag or similar , make sure the inlet/air filter cannot be soaked in any way. Very important as it can do a great deal of damage to the engine internally .

Agitate your degreaser with decent but softish brush or even a rag and rinse with low pressure from a PW at distance or use a watering can with a sprinkler .

Try not to use TFR if possible if you do i suggest diluting it .
Try autobrite mate, very helpfull have just what you need and deliver very promtly and competative prices

Some people like to warm the engine for drying but i guess you wont be doing that , use a decent cloth or an airline to dry
After you could dress it to finish it off and have it looking mint as possible
