Had to laugh at this - Are there any religions that aren't man-made?

Also Dojj, and this is a bit of a random one - There was a Sikh-dude (or at least that's what I thought he was) at my Uni. He was a bit odd as he was an albino, and really little. Anyway, he always dressed smartly and had a turban, but the turban had a bizarre sticking out bit, about 5 inches or so, almost like he had a dick on his head?? Seriously! Any idea what that was all about?

While people are asking turban/headgear based questions, there was a lad who used to live near me, had what can only be described as a boiled egg on his head? Any ideas what faith he would be?

I always thought that the myth about drawing blood when the knife was drawn related to the Ghruka's Kukri which after working with several ex Ghurka's I found to be a load of horse shit.

As said Kirpans are the least of our worries, there's more chance of being stabbed with some smack heads dirty needle than something worn as a religious symbol.

The ignorance of some people is simply unreal

I'm sure you asked if any other religion would let them build a church in there country and India does. Didn't know we talking about afganastan. I reckon there might be churches there though. I know there are Sikh temples there.

This guy is a nihang warrior. He is wearing a big turban mainly for ceremonial purposes. Just as a sign of authority in his group. The nihangs are a group of Sikhs who live a nomad style of life which is completely based around being prepared for war. They eat live sleep war. They are the defenders of he faith and keep up war rituals and keep that part of skhism alive. Very intresting people.... Even the police would fck with them in India .

Hi mate,

I know with the kirpan if you withdraw it for any reason other than a religious one then blood drawing in necessary, it teaches the mind to become tolerant.. Think about the situation or suffer the consequences kind of thing.. Sikhs are warriors, defenders of the faith.. We dont normally bring harm to people but will fight if forced to.. Sikhism is the youngest religion in the world but one that has accomplished alot.

I'll answer dans one first as the others had been answered already

Do you mean that he hair was plaited either side, like pigtails on a girl, and then laid over the top with a hankie tied over the top of that?

The younger generation do that rather than tie a turban on due to the turban taking some getting used to as it squeezes the head a little and wieghs a bit too, the one in the pic I think is a cloth that is 250 yards long, so you can imagine what weight that is like on your neck and spine.
