Default Welders - looking to learn

I am looking to learn how to weld, just to do bits and bobs, and for something new to learn! Can anyone recomend a good welder for not silly money? no idea what I am looking at lol.

I would recommend the Clarke 151TE (Turbo) Mig, cheap but its been a fantastic mig for me.

is the gasless wire any good ? Because those small c02 bottles are too expensive

One thing i would recomend spending the money on is a good helment.

It made a massive differnce actully being able to see!!!!

totally agree my welding skills doubled when i bought my auto darkaning mask

Ya as above buy a good auo mask they good ones start from about 30Ł. sealey do a good range of cheap welders. i got a sealey supermig170 for Ł350 great for panels and anything upto 6mm. gasless welders are not great if ya plan on welding panals you'll get to many airholes
