A mate of mine came out his house last night to find his car looking like this:









Apparently it was nicked overnight by a couple of blokes in a transit van.

Anyone got any suggestions where to get a replacement (with spotlights) for a decent price?

(or even better... anyone know someone who just turned up with a nearly new fiesta ST bumper around the Grays area?)

There was a guy on ebay from the essex area selling loads of odd fiesta st/zetec s bumpers/skirts/spoilers that looked dodgy as. If I can find the link again, I'll post it!

He did mention there is some bloke in Dagenham selling loads of ST bits on ebay which seem to all have scratches int he same location... might be nothing but i reckon it's probably worth a look!

All too common now in the East London and Essex area, I see mk6 Zetec-S and ST's driving around with missing grills and spoilers all the time, was driving down the A13 last week and saw a red ST with no rear bumper. Last month I had my locking wheels nuts nicked off mine and mine is parked up a long drive in a decent area, my mate also had his ST wheels taken and his car was parked on his drive in Dagenham.

Best thing to do if possible is to try and block your car in to make it harder for them.

see one friday nite with no front bumper, skirts, rear defuser and spoiler missing. they seem to attract kids as kids want thiers to look like st's which is why my cousin and alot of people who i know have sold them as kept happening. my cousins bumper was nicked damaging his wings when done so ended up with new front end

theiving pikey cunts, you can have nowt man. tiger seal skirts and spoilers on, then there not going anywhere. not that you should have to like, but its getting to the point where you have to if you want to keep yuor spoliers, skirts etc.

apparently they are ridiculously easy to remove, some will come off just by giving them a good tug

as people have said before, loads and loads of peeps have had them nicked over the years so other than fixing them properly to the car there's not a lot else you can do other than actually glue them to the car

go on to one of the fiesta sites and ask if there is a preventative measure or if they can get hold of replacements, not cheap apparently which is why they go walkies

p*ss easy to remove and ebay offers a perfect selling ground with lots of people all to ready to buy them up cheap!

Vicious circle, worst is the more you do to secure them to the car the more damage they will do trying to get them off, on the upside, if it is one group in an area and they know you have bonded the things on they wont try again I guess. Still have to fix all the damage!

The real problem is for 25 years the UK "governement" has had a policy of ignoring car crime because LOTS of people earn a living fixing damaged cars and selling alarms.

Punish criminals properly and this will stop happening.

6 10mm self tapping bolts hold the bumper to the wings and 2 torx screws through the wing liner.Best bet is to replace self tappers with nuts and bolts.M3 bumpers use to come off with 2 bolts and they were worth Ł300 second hand.

was a lad on ebay selling spoilers/bumpers etc pretty much to order all feedback was negative with 'fixing broken' .

Yet still people bought off them despite it being obvious he was stealing them.

Apparently very easy to take them off.

Cheers guys just found the same complete bumper on eBay Ł260 in Basildon. Don't feel right having to pay for it. Just make sure you box in your cars stay vigilant second one to go in my street in a month.

About 2-3 months ago my girlfriends brother bought one and living down a quiet road in chadwell had no problems with the neighbours pre facelift one and a face lift just a few houses along. He had his 13 days and his dad heard a bang so got up about 2:30 in the morning and saw a guy walking off down the road in a balaclava then went out to check the cars and they had taken off the side skirts and slide under the car to come back for coz he was disturbed. I got a mate to hide the car away in a garage and he got rid off it within weeks. Luckily all they got away with was the jacking point caps. A bloke came back about 2:45 and started shouting at her dad so he kicked off and the guy tried saying he's looking for someone that's just damaged his car but ironically he had what was either a rolled up balaclava on or a bobble hat.. The police was called at about 2:35 and turned up about 4am then came back about 3 days later as PCSOs and did nothing but ask for a statement even tho one was taken at 4am...

I've not seen a ZS or ST without something missing either the alloy centre caps, grills, bumpers, light surrounds etc for ages. It's infuriating to say the least.

My ex had her spoiler knicked about a year ago. The a Boggo 1.2 on the same road all of a sudden had a red at spoiler on it with marks in the same places and crack where you could see it had been ripped of. I confronted him and his words were 'prove it yh Bruv '

So I cut his entire boot lid of with an angle grinder.
